Biography

R&B, and Gospel vocalist, writer, and producer, BeBe Winans has won four Grammy Awards, ten Dove Awards, six Stellar Awards, two NAACP Awards and a Soul Train Award. A multi faceted artist, Winans not only has a successful recording career, but also recently launched a syndicated radio show and returned to acting in both film and theatre.

As a member of gospel music royalty, Winans success is truly a family tradition. The seventh of 10 children, Winans began his career as a background singer for his famous brothers (The Winans) before teaming with sister CeCe Winans in 1987 for an amazing run of smash hits and platinum-selling albums. Winans has also recorded songs with such entertainers as Stevie Wonder, Brain McKnight and Whitney Houston.

BeBe and CeCe had success with such hits as, “Heaven”, “I'm Lost Without You”, and the number one hits “Addictive Love” and “I'll Take You There.” Winans stop-in-your tracks voice shines on his songs “In Harms Way,” “Jesus, Children of America” and, “Coming Back Home” with Brian McKnight and Joe.

In 2009 Be Be Winans will launch the BeBe Winans Radio Show with syndicator, SupeRadio Networks. BlueSky Productions, the award winning production team that produces the Dave Koz Radio Show, will produce this 2 -hour weekly program in partnership with Winans Grammy Award winning production team. The show will feature Urban and Gospel music and will include the biggest hits of the format, exclusive interviews, and superstar surprise guests each week.

Winans acting resume includes, making his feature film debut in Jonathan Demme’s, ‘The Manchurian Candidate’, appearing in the off-Broadway touring musical production of King Solomon Lives, ‘A Nubian Love Story’ and ‘The Diary of a Black Man’ (written and Directed by Danny Hodges)to name a few.
